Commissioned by the San Jose Public Art Program to commemorate five Bay Area figure skating champions: Brian Boitano, Rudy Galindo, Peggy Fleming, Debbie Thomas, and Kristi Yamaguchi.

This complex sculptural work combines the spoken and written word, artifacts, and mosaics. The principal features of the piece are five 20' high columns clad with tile, a 50' x 35' terrazzo "rink" inlaid with zinc letters that comprise the skaters' oral histories and are designed to conform to the patterns of their skating routines, and five 20 x 18 inch cast acrylic cylinders containing each skater's artifacts and photographs.
