DELUGE

6:50 min, 2026

Deluge explores memory’s fragility and invites viewers to consider what and who are lost and forgotten in the wake of accelerated climate disaster. I bring the abstract idea of climate catastrophe into intimate focus, connecting large-scale disaster to personal loss.

In Deluge I trace the destruction wrought by a flood, using analog film, still photography, projection, and water-soluble paper to create a 3-channel video installation.

Still photographs preserve moments that have already passed. I interrupt their illusion of permanence and expose the instability of memory by dissolving and distorting these images.
